About Us....
Tucked away deep in the heart of the Normandy countryside; sat in almost 8 acres; sits Les Rouges Terres Gites. What was once a working dairy farm; is now a collection of comfortable; spacious and stylish homes that we have lovingly refurbished & renovated; in order to make your holiday in Normandy memorable!
Currently we have three holiday homes open for guests - our largest property; La Laterie (https://airbnb.com/h/lalaiterielrt); has 3 bedrooms (1 king bed with en-suite shower and 2 double beds) and sleeps up to six people. La Vieille Grange (https://airbnb.com/h/lavieillegrangelrt); has 1 large bedroom; with double bed and living room with sofa bed so is ideal for a couple or small family up to four. Both of these properties have their own enclosed patio/sun terrace which stretch out to the large gardens with seating areas and onto a large paddock; which is ideal for evening strolls and a glimpse of our sheep. Finally; Wishing well Cottage (https://airbnb.com/h/wishingwellcottagelrt); is a standalone gite with its own enclosed; private gardens with hot tub that sleeps two.
On site we offer fresh eggs from our chickens and the jam that we make from the fruit of the estate (seasonal). Apple, plum & cherry trees are scattered throughout the grounds and the lakes are a haven for wildlife.
Les Rouges Terres really is the epitome of a French country estate - not only can you experience the peace and tranquilty that we have to offer; you also get to benefit from the location; which is central to all the major French tourist attractions; Le Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux; the D-Day beaches and Granville all within a short drive.
Please note; we open the gites from April - October inclusive; which allows us to spend busy winters carrying out essential works on the lakes and grounds.

The apartment was even lovelier than the pictures show, perfectly clean, cozy, and comfortable. "WOW! After an extremely long drive in one hit from Bristol, we arrived at Sarah & Harriets. They both met us with big smiles and were super friendly, which made us feel welcomed straight away. This rural location and the main bedroom were the perfect sleeping pill. Total serenity. All facilities were carefully thought out. we had everything we needed, including soft fluffy towels. "We were warmly and personally welcomed. The apartment was extensively equipped, clean and big. A large garden with some play facilities was available. Each apartment has its own terrace and entrance. The apartments are also well suited for a longer stay. Good shopping and restaurants are available in the next small town (about 4-5 km). "Sarah and Harriet created a fantastic place! The gite is located in a rural location with everything that you need for a wonderful relaxing vacation! Both ladies live on site and it feels extremely natural. A cozy chat in the morning, in the afternoon fresh eggs and some tips for regional activities. There is no shortage of activities. We haven't been bored for a second in the last 10 days. The landing beaches, Bayeux and Caen are a 45 minute drive. Mont Saint Michel and West Coast beaches just a little further (50 minutes to 1 hour). So pretty centrally located all of them. Very convenient.. supermarket (choice of several) only 5 minute drive away. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, rural location, then you should be here!"

“Wonderful cottage in a privileged natural environment; we were perfectly welcomed (even after we had to change the arrival time at the last moment) The cottage itself is very easy to find and is located in lush grenery, spared from any external nuisance. The interior of the house is superb; especially with very beautiful volumes in the living area. The owners are lovely; (thank you for the fresh eggs and jams) and thought of all the necessary amenities, including outside (ping-pong table; Petanque & gardens). We had a really perfect stay.
